A SOCIETY TO HELP THE NEEDY & POOR PATIENTS
 

Sh. Ganga Ram troubled by the constrained financial circumstances consumed some acid to end his life. His family was unable to afford his treatment expenses. He remained hospitalized for over two months. Looking at his miserable financial condition, the Society came forward to assist him in the purchase of medicines from time to time and spent

Rs. 36500/- and is also paying Rs. 500/- per month to the destitute family after his substantial recovery and discharge from the hospital as he is still unable to earn his livelihood.

 

Sh. Ved Prakash resident of Majitha Road, Amritsar was operated upon for kidney transplant in Kakkar Hospital, Amritsar in 1998. Looking to his miserable financial position, the society paid a lump-sum amount of Rs. 10000/- at the time of operation and since then society is paying a sum of Rs. 1000/- per month to the destitude family to meet the partial cost of medicines.

 

Bibi Jagir Kaur daughter of S. Harbans Singh age 35 years, resident of Village Aliwal Jattan Tehsil Batal is suffering from heart problem. She was operated upon at PGI, Chandigarh for replacement of heart valve in the year 1998. His total expenditure was to the tune of Rs. 50000/- out of which the society contributed a lumpsum of Rs. 10000/-, Since then she is undergoing the follow up treatment at PGI as an outdoor patient and the society is bearing 50% of the cost of the medicines till now. She is all alone and has no regular source of income.
